About the role The Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens is seeking a dynamic and relationship-focused Strategic Partnerships Lead to help drive partnerships and visitor experiences at one of Tasmania's most iconic attractions. In this diverse role, you will develop and nurture strategic relationships with commercial partners, donors, government agencies, media representatives and community stakeholders to support the Gardens’ strategic and commercial objectives. You will lead partnership negotiations, event contract management, stakeholder communications and the delivery of commercial operations that enhance visitor experiences and generate sustainable revenue. You will also lead a diverse team, supporting retail operations, commercial tours and volunteer programs while fostering a high-performing, customer-focused culture. Fixed-term 24-month position working 73.50 hours (minimum 58.80 hours by negotiation) per fortnight, in the Queens Domain in Hobart. Our ideal candidate • Demonstrated experience managing commercial partnerships, contracts and stakeholders’ relationships within government or tourism environments. • Experience leading diverse teams including customer service, volunteers and retail operations. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to represent the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. • Well-developed political acumen, supported by experience working in a public destination site. • Strong leadership and management skills, with proven ability to lead, motivate, and support staff. • An interest in botanical gardens, conservation and horticulture.
