Student Support Services Team Leader in Melton leads allied health teams, partners with schools and local services, and drives evidence-based wellbeing strategies to improve student learning and outcomes. About the Role An exciting opportunity exists in the Department of Education, South Western Victoria Region (SWVR). The Student Support Services Team Leader role in based in Melbourne's Western Suburb of Melton. It is a dynamic and fast paced role in supporting students acheive their education and wellbeing outcomes. The role has responsibility in working with and leading a team of allied health professionals, collaboration with local services, operational and strategic responsibilities to the area. The purpose of Student Support Services is to assist children and young people facing a range of barriers to learning to achieve their educational and developmental potential through the provision of a range of strategies and specialised support at individual, group, school and Area levels. Student Support Services (SSS) comprise psychologists, speech pathologists and social workers. SSS work as part of an integrated health and wellbeing team within the department's area multi-disciplinary teams, focusing on providing group based and individual support, workforce capacity building, and the provision of specialised services. The SSS Team Leader has responsibilities for: • Managing a local team of SSS employees to support a group of schools in the delivery of student support services to improve student learning outcomes. • In collaboration with schools, identifying, developing and coordinating strategies aimed at quality universal services for all students and supporting schools in addressing wellbeing issues early. • Driving the implementation of evidence based and multi-disciplinary approaches in collaboration with the Area team.
