Your new role:
As an HVAC Tradesperson with Metro South Health, you'll play an essential role in maintaining the mechanical systems that keep our hospitals and healthcare facilities operating safely, efficiently and reliably. Working across a diverse range of sites, you'll be part of a collaborative maintenance team delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance services. You will:
• Perform planned, preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs and installations on HVAC plant, equipment and infrastructure across Metro South Health facilities.
• Diagnose faults, investigate technical issues and implement effective solutions while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards and safety requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, manage resources and contractors, order materials and contribute to efficient project delivery with minimal disruption to hospital operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining safe, reliable environments.
About you:
You're a qualified HVAC tradesperson who enjoys solving technical problems and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to safety, customer service and continuous improvement. To be considered, you will:
• Hold a recognised Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration together with the required Queensland licences and trade certifications.
• Demonstrate extensive experience maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC systems, ideally within large or complex facilities.
• Possess strong troubleshooting, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.

Metro South Maintenance Services are the incumbent maintenance provider for Metro South Health Hospitals and Health Service (MSH) Facilities, with the primary objective to manage the corrective and preventative maintenance for all MSH infrastructure and facilities. Metro South's asset management objectives define the approach for delivering maintenance outcomes and the role of Maintenance management in supporting the achievement of the organisational objectives.
