VIDA Roads​​ ​​​VPS 6 Traffic Engineering Specialist​​ • Hybrid working environment. • 3 years fixed term, VPS 6 salary $142,790-$191,084 and + super & benefits. • This role will be located at 180 Lonsdale St. Join us in building better connections for Victoria by: • Provide high level traffic engineering advice in the areas of traffic modelling, traffic engineering design and road safety for major high value/ high-risk road infrastructure projects, as well as complex operational traffic modelling for increasingly complex and large networks. • Plan and manage traffic modelling activities and deliverables for a variety of project options during the project development stages. Provide advice on modelling types, demand derivation methodologies on projects and provide proactive response to changing expectations on traffic modelling requirements. • Undertake independent traffic modelling peer reviews on multiple projects across VIDA Roads program. • Utilise advanced expertise in developing the strategic approach and methodology for operational traffic modelling and undertake microsimulation modelling and SIDRA analyses for intersection design options as required by the relevant projects • Review and develop proposals for improvements to traffic engineering design and construction standards and specifications. Provide guidance to TA and Project Teams in relation to interpretations of DTP traffic modelling requirements. The Traffic Engineering Specialist (Modeller) is responsible for delivering traffic modelling assessments and advising and leading traffic engineering aspects of projects during the project development stage to ensure overall delivery compliance requirements are achieved on multiple large-scale road projects within the VIDA Roads/ Big Build Roads.
