YOUR OPPORTUNITY We have multiple roles at all levels for Water Industry Workers keen to join our successful teams based in ( Acacia Ridge, Eagle Farm & Bundamba ) keeping water flowing to and from our customers' properties in Metro-North, Metro South and Ipswich. In this role, you'll work in a team that is engaged in field inspection, repair, replacement and operation of Queensland Urban Utilities’ assets. This ensures we are delivering safe clean drinking water to the communities we serve. The role requires that you be available to work shifts between 6am - 5:30am and work 2 weekends in 10 (shift penalties apply). This roster has set, recurrent rostered days off with regular overtime opportunities. In return, we'll train you in all aspects of the role so that you have real variety and career progression. • Great team culture + Rotating roster – work/life balance with overtime opportunities • Providing you with training to help advance your career in the water industry • Use of Tools of Trade, Uniform, PPE, iPad + iPhone all included • Permanent full time role + Base wage + shift penalties + allowance + Super • $5,500 yearly adverse condition allowance paid in weekly instalments WHAT WE HOPE YOU’LL BRING We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our future and, ideally, have the following qualifications, skills and experiences: • Experience in a similar industry – Civil Construction/Maintenance, Plumbing, Utilities, Pipelaying • Strong focus and commitment towards safety • MR or HR driver's licence is mandatory – or willing to obtain prior to employment • Experience operating an excavator and bobcat is desirable but not essential • Being a licenced Plumber is desirable but not essential • A great communicator with the ability to work efficiently in a team • A strong work ethic, with great attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Please note that you must be physically fit and pass a pre-employment medical before starting with us in this role. You might find you meet some, but not all, of the job requirements for this role. We’d still encourage you to apply as we provide on the job training to upskill our people.
