Why was this website created?
Contract and labour-hire vacancies are mostly advertised through recruitment agencies rather than the official government boards, so searching the official sites alone quietly misses a large share of the roles actually on offer. Public Roles was built to close that gap, bringing whole-of-government boards, individual employers and the recruiters handling contract work into one consistent search.
Is Public Roles affiliated with the government?
No. It is an independent project with no connection to any Australian government department or agency, and nothing published here is official or endorsed. Every listing links back to the original advertiser, which remains the authoritative source for eligibility, closing dates and how to apply.
