About the role As the Aboriginal Environmental Health Officer, you'll work with Aboriginal communities, Local Aboriginal Land Councils, local government and key stakeholders to protect and improve public and environmental health. You'll investigate environmental health issues, undertake inspections, respond to public health risks, provide expert advice, deliver education programs and support initiatives that improve health outcomes for Aboriginal communities, including Housing for Health projects. About you This is an Aboriginal Identified position and is open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. You'll have qualifications and/or experience in Environmental Health (or a related field), knowledge of environmental and public health legislation, and strong communication and relationship-building skills. You're passionate about improving community health, enjoy working collaboratively and can confidently manage a diverse and rewarding workload.
