About the role Are you interested in working within a multidisciplinary team in the Drug and Alcohol field? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Join the Western NSW Local Health District Drug and Alcohol Service and play an important role in delivering high-quality care and support to people experiencing alcohol and other drug dependence. This Monday to Friday position provides the opportunity to work across the Western NSW Local Health District, delivering services through a combination of virtual care and outreach to regional communities.

The team provides a therapeutic and non-judgemental environment for people experiencing alcohol and other drug-related issues, while also supporting community members, generalist healthcare professionals and general practitioners across the region.

The primary focus of the team is to provide specialist Drug and Alcohol services to communities that do not currently have access to a local Drug and Alcohol team.

As part of this role, you will contribute to a comprehensive range of services, including Opioid Treatment Programs, stimulant treatment, psychosocial interventions, Addiction Medicine clinics, Cannabis Clinics, and the Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Service. This variety provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills across multiple areas of Drug and Alcohol practice while making a meaningful difference in the lives of clients and their families.

The successful application will have strong communication skills, the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders, and a commitment to supporting clients on their recovery journey will be highly regarded.

You will be supported by a dynamic, diverse and experienced team that values collaboration, professional development and continuous learning. This is a rewarding opportunity to expand your career while contributing to the delivery of essential Drug and Alcohol services across Western NSW.
