Employment Type: Temporary Various Remuneration: As per State Award Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: CAM28681 Where you'll be working Royal Prince Alfred Hospital What you'll be doing To provide effective medical services to patients under supervision, while developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment. To develop trainee’s expertise and skills in Addiction Medicine, to facilitate delivery of this service to remote health facilities for drug withdrawal and relapse prevention. Core activities of the position allow completion of the Addiction Medicine Curriculum. Staff are supported to ensure patients, their families and carers are considered as partners in care to achieve optimal patient outcomes and best possible healthcare experience. * MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. * Demonstrated excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise. * Demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem solving skills in a complex clinical environment. * Demonstrated interest in quality improvement, risk management and patient safety. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Experience and willingness to teach junior medical staff and students. * At least four postgraduate years and successful completion of a relevant Australasian clinical examination or training program including but not limited to RACP (including chapters and faculties), RANZCP and RACGP. * Demonstrated interest in addiction medicine, including clinical experience, research or quality activities.
