The Opportunity An opportunity is available for an experienced APS6 Payroll, Recruitment & Reporting Officer to join a collaborative People and Culture team. This role provides the opportunity to apply your expertise across payroll, workforce management, recruitment systems and workforce reporting while contributing to the delivery of high-quality HR services. Working within a dynamic environment, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate workforce information, supporting effective decision-making and improving HR processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an APS professional who enjoys using data and insights to enhance workforce outcomes while providing trusted advice to stakeholders. Both labour hire and non-ongoing engagement options are available. The Role You will provide specialist payroll, workforce administration and reporting support while partnering with stakeholders to deliver effective people services. Your responsibilities will include: • Managing and supporting payroll and workforce management activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance • Providing advice and assistance on workforce administration matters and HR processes • Supporting recruitment activities, including the use of recruitment systems such as eRecruit • Developing and interpreting workforce reports, dashboards and data insights to support decision-making • Analysing workforce data and identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement • Identifying process improvements and contribute to enhancing HR service delivery • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and provide practical, solutions-focused advice The Ideal Person You are an experienced APS HR professional with strong capability across payroll, workforce management, recruitment and reporting. You bring a detailed understanding of APS processes and the ability to translate workforce data into meaningful insights that support business decisions. You have demonstrated experience managing complex payroll and workforce activities, working with HR systems and providing accurate reporting and analysis to stakeholders. Your ability to identify improvements, streamline processes and provide trusted advice will enable you to make an immediate contribution. You are organised, analytical and proactive, with strong stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience using eRecruit or similar recruitment systems will be highly regarded, along with the ability to interpret data and provide clear, actionable insights.
