About the role The Team Leader, Preschool Financial Services is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering a range of financial, accounts management and governance related functions and services to support Preschool Directors and staff. The role supervises, allocates and ensures work quality for a team of staff skilled in the delivery of financial and accounting activities and provides expert financial advice and guidance to preschools and site leaders to inform decision making and the resolution of complex issues. This position operates in a complex environment of rapid change, reform and competing priorities, where the Department, through a team within central office, undertakes the financial transaction processing and reporting on behalf of individual sites in order to improve of financial operations of schools and preschools to meet departmental goals. Qualifications Essential: Nil Desirable: Qualifications in the field of Finance, Accountancy or Business. Special conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
