The City Futures directorate focuses on developing our strategy to ensure sustainable and responsible planning and development for all aspects of our City. About the role As an Asset Engineer, you will manage and prepare Council’s Road Corridor assets renewal program. This includes preparing asset management plans to fulfill the Asset Custodian role for public infrastructure focussed on transport assets. Additionally, you will offer expert advice on asset management and risk to maximise sustainable assets investment in line with industry standards and applicable legislation. Key Responsibilities: • Research and analyse key asset data to develop asset network risk management plans and treatment options, to inform current/future asset condition, performance and utilisation works. • Audit, monitor and assess asset condition to develop maintenance, renewal and upgrade programs and ensure applicable legislation, compliance, asset and risk management requirements are met. • Engage with stakeholders and external providers and consultants to develop quality solutions and prepare project briefs that detail project scope, budgets, timelines and deliverables. • Provide expert evidence in claims and legal proceedings relating to infrastructure projects. About you We are looking for a someone who has: • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering which satisfies eligibility requirements for membership/registration with Engineers Australia.
