Assistant Aboriginal Project Officer Strategy Policy and Commissioning Temporary full-time up to 30 June 2027 Location: Parramatta Clerk Grade 5/6 Salary ($102,936- $113,579pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading This position is open to Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only. Your role The Assistant Aboriginal Project Officer undertakes a range of project and program delivery tasks including, reporting, administrative activities and scheduling to support the delivery of Leaving Footprints. What you’ll do * Provide project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans. * Co-facilitate the delivery of Leaving Footprints, ensuring sessions are delivered safely, respectfully and in line with program guidelines and cultural considerations. * Assist the project team to complete tasks and implement project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the current evidence base, research and best practice approaches to reducing men’s use of violence, and apply these insights to inform program, service delivery and continuous improvement. * Assist the Project Officer to complete tasks and implement plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved in accordance with the Leaving Footprints program guidelines. * Communicate with relevant ASU managers to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues * Provide a range of administrative services, including coordinating training sessions and preparing papers, to support the delivery of Leaving Footprints. * Communicate with the program team, relevant stakeholders, and Aboriginal Community Controlled organisations about the Leaving Footprints Program. What we’re looking for * This is an identified position and only open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons (see notes below for further information). * A current NSW driver’s licence (unrestricted) and willingness to travel is required. As an Identified role, this position is open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons, Australia’s First Nations people.
