Assistant Policy Officer Ongoing, full time, Grade 5/6 role Location: Sydney * The Cabinet and Parliamentary Services team in the Department of Customer Service is looking for an Assistant Policy Officer to join our team! * The role is in the Cabinet stream and provides advice and Cabinet-related support services to the Secretary and Ministers on all Cabinet and subcommittee submissions & supports our stakeholders. * This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career and gain experience and insights. In this role you will: * Be part of a team providing high level advice and support to the executives, Secretary and the Ministers. * Contribute to delivery of Cabinet outcomes and ensure delivery of high-quality coordination, analysis and advice. * Provide corporate support in the development and delivery of broader policy or project initiatives. * Help train departmental staff in understanding relevant context and processes. * Be part of a strongly cohesive and collaborative team culture. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: * Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to provide accurate, clear and comprehensive advice in short time frames * Proven experience liaising and consulting with internal and external stakeholders * Highly tuned review and analysis skills to develop and implement practical solutions to complex matters * High attention to detail, well-developed organisational skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure, high-volume environment with tight deadlines to manage rapidly changing priorities and conflicting perspectives * Passion, enthusiasm, resilience, and energy to thrive in an agile and adaptive environment How to Apply: Please submit your Resume and a brief cover letter outlining how your skills and experience are relevant to the position.
