Position InformationAlbury West Public School currently serves 164 students, including 37 Aboriginal students. Selection CriteriaIn addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary Demonstrated expertise in supporting students with additional learning and support needs within mainstream classrooms, including providing specialist advice and assistance to teachers to improve curriculum access and participation Proven ability to lead and embed inclusive, evidence-based practices that enhance learning, engagement and wellbeing outcomes for students with diverse learning needs Strong understanding of disability legislation, NCCD requirements, assessment adjustments, NSW Department of Education policies and inclusive education frameworks, with experience supporting students with disability and complex behavioural needs Demonstrated capacity to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, families and external agencies to build staff capability and implement personalised learning and behaviour supports through strong communication, consultation and data-informed practices General Selection Criteria1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policyConditionsAn unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
