Assistant Project Officer Division: Revenue NSW Clerk Grade: 5/6 Salary: $102,936 - $113,579 + Superannuation Employment Type: Temporary (Full time), up to 30 June 2028 Location: Any Revenue NSW location (Parramatta, Gosford, Maitland, Wollongong, Lithgow) Applications Close: Monday 3rd of August 2026 [at 9:59am] About the team The Strategy, Projects & Support team in Taxes & Grants are tasked with supporting the Executive Director’s office and business units across the division to deliver a range of strategic functions that enhance engagement, improve business operations, build capability and support effective executive communications. The team is responsible for leading a structured and collaborative approach to keep the Executive Director’s office well-informed and equipped to drive key objectives efficiently. Your day-to-day In this role, your day-to-day work will involve supporting the delivery of projects through a mix of coordination, analysis and stakeholder engagement. You will monitor project progress against plans and milestones, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute research and analysis to inform project decisions and briefings. Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, you will provide updates on project status, respond to enquiries, and help coordinate activities to keep delivery on track. You will also support the practical implementation of project plans, identify and escalate issues where required, and adapt to competing priorities and tight timeframes. Additionally, the role includes providing administrative and secretariat support, such as coordinating meetings, preparing papers and ensuring effective follow-through on actions, to enable successful project outcomes. To be successful in this role you will have the following: * Extensive and current Taxes & Grants product knowledge, with demonstrated experience working across all Taxes & Grants business units. * Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines. * Demonstrated ability to support project delivery, including monitoring milestones, tracking progress and maintaining accurate documentation. * Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear written materials and provide timely updates to stakeholders. * Experience undertaking research and basic analysis to inform decision making, project planning and briefing materials. * A collaborative approach, working effectively within team environments and building positive relationships with stakeholders. * High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency across project documentation, reporting and records. * Initiative and adaptability to identify issues, support problem solving and adjust priorities to ensure project outcomes are achieved. What will your day involve? * Monitor project timelines, milestones and deliverables to ensure activities are on track and aligned with agreed plans. * Update and maintain project documentation, records and reporting to support effective governance and compliance. * Undertake research and basic analysis to contribute to project briefs and support informed decision making. * Support the implementation of project plans, working closely with team members to deliver agreed outcomes. * Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates, respond to enquiries and coordinate project activities. * Provide administrative and secretariat support, including organising meetings, preparing papers and tracking actions.
