About this role

The Office of the Secretary in the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) is seeking an organised and capable Business Support Officer to undertake critical administrative, corporate and coordination functions with the Office. This role includes the following core functions: • Coordinating and managing the flow of formal briefings into, through and out of the Office of the Secretary, ensuring briefs are efficiently managed and appropriately prioritised for action. • Undertaking general coordination tasks as needed. • Supporting the executive administration functions of the administration team as needed (including diary management, email management and other support for the Secretary if required). • Supporting the documentation of Office of the Secretary processes and procedures. • Providing administrative support to Office of the Secretary executives as required. The Office of the Secretary is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that provides support and strategic advice to the Secretary across a range of diverse issues within the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA). The office comprises an advisory team and an administrative team to support the Secretary across the breadth of their functions. Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications • Knowledge of DEECA’s briefing systems and processes would be an advantage. This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
