About this role

Casual position We are seeking independent and reliable candidates for a casual opportunity within our Community and Leisure Facilities team. As a Caretaker, you will provide support and assistance to prospective hirers of the City’s Facilities. This will include opening and closing of facilities for casual bookings, showing prospective hirers around the facilities and advising on available equipment, undertaking facility condition reports and spot cleaning when required. You will also liaise with the City’s security officers and contractors regarding any alarm monitoring, arming, disarming or alarm system faults. If you are a team player with great people skills, sound time management and organisational skills, we want to hear from you! This role is perfect for you if you have experience in a similar role, are able to work unsupervised and especially if you are available after hours and on weekends. You should have appropriate knowledge to deal with general queries, as well as basic conflict resolution skills. A current ‘C’ class driver’s licence (along with your own transport) and National Police Clearance are also essential for the role. To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application: • Experience in a similar position • Ability to work weekends and after hours • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team • Experience in alarming, locking up and securing facilities • Valid ‘C’ class driver’s licence What we offer The hourly rate for this position is as follows: $43.53 inclusive of casual loading, plus superannuation An information package, including the position description, is available on our website.
