At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are looking for a dedicated Speech Pathologist Level 3 to be an essential part of our Palliative Care team. About the Opportunity As a Senior Speech Pathologist you will provide a professional speech pathology service to patient/clients and their families/carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes. This position will operate as a clinical senior across a range of clinical areas including coordination and support for inpatient palliative care across sites. This position plays a key role in delivering high quality care in a dynamic team environment to ensure the development and delivery of effective and pro-active speech pathology services. In this role you will: Provide high-level, patient-centred care and specialty clinical advice as a clinical senior across a range of areas, including palliative care. Provide clinical leadership and supervision of Level 1/2 Speech Pathologists, Allied Health Assistants and students. Effectively and efficiently manage the allocated caseload, whilst adhering to departmental procedures and guidelines. Exercise advanced reasoning and independent professional judgement for the clinical assessment and management of patients including complex and specialist situations. About You We are looking for someone who has: Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology with eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia. Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and guide and support others in service excellence across a range of clinical areas including Palliative Care. Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal direct clinical supervision, but also effectively within a multidisciplinary team and with a range of stakeholders. Demonstrated advanced reasoning and problem solving skills, effective time management and the ability to prioritise workload.
