About the role: Education and Care Services is responsible for the delivery of professional, high quality child care services and educational programs in the Campbelltown local government area. We provide care to children aged 0-12 years and operate according to Early Childhood Education and Care National Regulations and the National Quality Standards and Framework. We are currently seeking multiple Child Care Cooks who will be responsible for planning and providing nutritionally balanced menus for children in care, maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment and monitoring stock control and adhering to budget requirements. Positions available; • Multiple Permanent part-time opportunities, 20 hours per week The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes: • Knowledge of nutritional requirements for children 0-12 years. • Statement of Attainment or course in Nutrition and Menu Planning and Safe Food Handling. • Knowledge of hygienic cooking practices. • Knowledge of dietary, nutritional, cultural requirements of children including allergies and food intolerances. • Ability to work as a cooperative team member. • Time management skills and the ability to organise work effectively. • Commitment to a customer focused service. • A cleared Working with Children Check. • Child Safe Certificate • Commitment to living our values of respect, integrity, teamwork, trust and optimism.
