About the role We're currently seeking an experienced Civil Construction Supervisor to join a leading State Government organisation on a full-time temporary assignment based in Wagga, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong civil construction or road maintenance background who enjoys working outdoors, leading by example, and ensuring works are completed safely and to a high standard. The role offers an immediate start, working a 9-day fortnight (76 hours per fortnight). While the position is based in Wagga, occasional travel and overnight stays at various locations across NSW may be required. Accommodation and relevant allowances will be provided when working away from the Wagga depot. Duties • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day civil construction and maintenance activities. • Monitor work quality and ensure projects are completed to required specifications and standards. • Conduct quality assurance inspections and maintain accurate project documentation. • Identify and resolve routine site issues, escalating complex matters where required. • Provide guidance, support and on-the-job training to team members. • Liaise professionally with contractors, stakeholders, members of the public and internal teams. • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. • Perform site-based labouring duties where required. Skills and Experience • Previous experience in civil construction, road maintenance, bridge works or infrastructure projects. • Experience leading crews, coordinating works or supervising site activities. • Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and WHS legislation. • Sound computer skills and ability to complete electronic documentation. • Construction White Card (essential). • Current Work on Foot (WOF) ticket and Traffic Control ticket, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement. • Current Class C Driver Licence or higher. • Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and undertake physical work when required. • Willingness to travel and stay away from home when operationally required. • Ability to pass a National Police Check.
