About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Clinical Coding Specialist to join us in providing high quality and specialised Clinical Coding services. You will support the efficient operation of Griffith Base Hospital and enable the LHD to meet activity targets and service objectives. As the Clinical Coding Specialist, you will: * Accurately and efficiently complete clinical coding using ICD-10-AM to meet agreed timeframes and quality standards for Activity Based Funding * Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring accuracy benchmarks and competencies are achieved * Collaborate with clinicians, Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists and coding colleagues to clarify documentation and maintain coding quality * Support training and education in systems and tools such as 3M Codefinder, eMR and PAS * Mentor and support Clinical Coding Trainees and less experienced team members To find out more, please review the Position Description. About You Our ideal candidate will demonstrate: * Proven experience in accurate and timely ICD-10-AM coding within agreed quality standards * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex clinical documentation * A commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up to date with coding standards and clinical practice changes * A collaborative approach, valuing teamwork, quality improvement and shared learning.
