The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC): Leads and drives quality improvement, patient safety and risk management initiatives within Emergency Department using evidence-based practice and data. Provides leadership in strategic and workflow development; Implementation and evaluation of policies, protocols and models of care within the Emergency Department and across relevant services. Acts as a clinical and resource expert in emergency nursing, providing clinical advice, mentoring and education to support workforce capability and service. For more information, please view the Position Description Ideal Candidate Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and 7 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 5 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field. Holds approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate. Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing critical care and quality improvement strategies, initiatives and programs within a complex clinical environment. Proven ability to analyse research, clinical and project data, evaluate outcomes, and apply findings to inform decision-making and drive improvements in clinical practice and service delivery.
