About this role

The role of the Clinical Practice Leader within the Youth Detention Centre is unique due to the oversight, supervision, mentoring and professional advice that is required to be provided to a team of Allied Health professionals. The Clinical Practice Leader has oversight of a team that may consist of: Speech and Language Pathologists, Registered Psychologists, Provisional Psychologists and Occupational Therapists. A strong knowledge of developmental and cognitive assessments would be a necessary asset within this role, as the Clinical Practice Leader needs to ensure that high-quality, professional clinical services are delivered by the team to young people in detention. These services are required to be culturally appropriate and consistent with departmental policies.
