Based at Concord Hospital, this Clinical Psychologist position focuses on delivering evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, formulation, and treatment for veterans experiencing chronic pain and a range of psychological conditions at the NCVH. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the psychologist collaborates closely with veterans and their families to provide high-quality, guideline-informed care and contribute to the development of innovative models of pain management. The role includes individual and group therapy, evaluation of clinical outcomes, participation in education and training initiatives, and supervision of provisional psychologists where appropriate, with a strong emphasis on improving mental health outcomes for the veteran community. Click here for the Position Description Qualifications and Experience • Current registration with AHPRA to practice as a psychologist, endorsement or working towards endorsement in clinical psychology and/or eligibility for membership of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and ACPA. • Must hold a post graduate degree in clinical psychology (Masters, and/or Doctorate or PhD) • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the use of therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, EMDR, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Insight Oriented Psychotherapy. Demonstrated skills in working with families and veterans.
