About Powerhouse Powerhouse Museum is located at the intersection of arts, design, science, and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. It is the custodian of more than half a million objects of national and international significance and is considered one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia. We are undertaking a landmark $1.3 billion infrastructure renewal program, led by the creation of Powerhouse Parramatta; expanded research and public facilities at Powerhouse Castle Hill; the heritage revitalisation of the iconic Powerhouse Ultimo; and the ongoing operation of Sydney Observatory. Collection Curator GR1 Temporary full-time for up to 4 years Powerhouse Castle Hill Powerhouse is undergoing a major transformation in its history. As we reimagine what a museum can be, we are looking for an exceptional Collection Curator to help shape the future of the Powerhouse Collection. This is not a traditional curatorial role. It is an opportunity to influence how one of Australia's most important collections grows, evolves and connects with contemporary audiences, industry and researchers. You will play a leading role in identifying and acquiring objects and digital material that reflect the creativity, innovation and cultural significance of applied arts while ensuring the collection remains relevant for generations to come. Working collaboratively across curatorial, collections, exhibitions, research and public programs, you'll help deliver a strategic collection that reflects the breadth of design, technology and creative practice that defines Powerhouse.
