The Opportunity As a Community Development Officer (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion), you will play a key role in advancing the City's commitment to fostering an inclusive, connected and welcoming community. You will coordinate the City's Equity, Diversity and Inclusion advisory groups and lead initiatives that support the delivery of actions within the City's strategic plans and frameworks. Reporting to the Coordinator Community Development, your key responsibilities will include: • Leading the City's equity, diversity and inclusion strategy, driving initiatives that foster an inclusive, connected and accessible community; • Providing strategic oversight of the City's advisory groups, building strong relationships with community representatives, stakeholders and partners to inform policy and decision-making; • Driving the planning, delivery and evaluation of community initiatives, ensuring measurable outcomes aligned with the City's strategic priorities; and • Providing expert leadership through strategic advice, performance reporting, policy development and the identification of funding opportunities to strengthen community impact. About You To succeed in this role, you will possess: • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field; • A strong commitment to advancing equity, diversity and inclusion principles; • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills; • Excellent written communication and report writing skills;gies.
