Click here for details and contact the enquires person for further information. About the role The Dental Assistant provides dental assisting duties within the Dental clinic and the Theatre services. The Dental Assistant ensures that requirements for infection control and sterilisation, clinical administration, and client records are met. Key duties of the role • Provide chair-side dental assistance to dental practitioners. • Prepare dental materials and equipment as requested by the dental practitioner. • Process, prepare and save/file radiographs. • Demonstrate empathy and understanding of clients from diverse backgrounds. • Maintain and promote infection control and contribute to reprocessing of reusable medical devises. Skills and Experience • Experience in the provision of chair-side dental assistance • Experience in maintaining infection control and reprocessing reusable medical devices. • Knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, instruments, materials, procedures and contemporary infection control and sterilisation procedures. • Proven ability to problem solve, manage priorities, and organise own workload. • Experience in maintaining administrative systems.
