About us:
We provide a range of free dental services to eligible people living in Central Queensland. We provide services for adults in community dental clinics and children in mobile dental vans or school clinics.
About the role:
• Assist the dentist with a range of procedures, including four-handed dentistry, retraction, evacuation, rubber dam application, radiography and dental charting.
• Monitor patient wellbeing and anxiety, consider medical conditions and assist with the prevention, identification and management of medical emergencies.
• Ensure dental equipment, instruments and clinical areas are safely cleaned, disinfected, sterilised and maintained in line with relevant standards.
• Prepare equipment and materials, manage stock and consumables, maintain equipment, identify minor faults and provide administrative support.
About you:
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills across dental procedures, clinical support and infection control for patients of all ages.
• Can effectively prioritise competing demands, manage workload and use initiative to keep clinical services running smoothly.
• Can quickly learn and confidently use the Information System for Oral Health (ISOH) to manage patient information and appointments.
• Builds positive relationships with patients and staff, handles sensitive information appropriately and can manage challenging or confidential situations.
• Works effectively both independently and as part of a team, exercises sound judgement and actively identifies opportunities to improve services and processes.
What we offer:
• An hourly rate between $39.47 - $42.89 p.h. (Including 25% casual loading)
