Development Assessment Planner • Picton location • Permanent full time position • Salary range up to $115,355 per annum (depending on level of experience) + 12% Superannuation + Leaseback vehicle • Work/Life Balance - Hybrid and Flexible Work arrangements About the opportunity: An exciting opportunity has become available within our Development Services team for an experienced Development Assessment Planner. As our region continues to grow and major development areas progress, now is an ideal time to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Team Leader Development Assessment, you will be responsible for assessing a diverse range of Development Applications while contributing to the delivery of high-quality planning outcomes that support sustainable growth and vibrant communities. The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate their competency in the following essential criteria: • Degree qualifications in Town Planning or related discipline. • Minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience in the assessment of development applications. • Working knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 NSW, Planning Legislation and other Acts and Legislation relevant to the position. • Ability to complete ongoing planning which may involve some complexity, and actively contribute to work programs. • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (in both written & oral forms) to stakeholders and residents on matters which may be complex. • Class C Drivers Licence.
