What you'll be doing As the Clinical Dietitian within the Diabetes Service, you'll provide expert nutritional assessment, education and counselling to adults and adolescents with Type 1 diabetes, complex Type 2 diabetes and diabetes in pregnancy. You'll deliver evidence-based care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve health outcomes for people living with diabetes. You will also: * Deliver specialised nutrition assessment, education and ongoing dietary management for people with complex diabetes, including insulin pump therapy. * Partner with endocrinologists, nursing, allied health and external healthcare providers to deliver coordinated, person-centred care. * Provide education and clinical guidance to health professionals, students and colleagues while participating in clinical supervision. * Lead and contribute to quality improvement, research and evidence-based practice initiatives that enhance diabetes services. * Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support continuous service excellence through effective information management. Essential Requirements: * Qualification: Bachelor or post graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia * Registration: Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) Selection Criteria: * Demonstrated clinical expertise in the management of clients with complex Type 2 diabetes, Type 1 diabetes on insulin pumps and diabetes in pregnancy. * Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member as well as work independently, including flexibility and adaptability. * Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload. * Experience in designing, implementing and evaluating research projects and experience in participating in quality improvement projects.
