We urgently filling an exciting opportunity for a Biomedical Electronics Technician with a Government client based in Perth’s western suburbs. Position Details • Location: Western Suburbs, Perth • Pay Rate: $54.00 per hour + Superannuation • Contract: Full-time, 3-month contract • Start Date: ASAP About the RoleThe Biomedical Electronics Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, testing, and technical support of a wide range of medical electronic and computer-networked equipment. Working within a healthcare environment, you will play a key role in ensuring medical devices operate safely, effectively, and reliably to support patient care. Key Responsibilities • Perform maintenance, repairs, calibration, quality assurance, and performance testing on specialised medical equipment. • Troubleshoot faults across biomedical and network-connected medical devices. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, upgrades, and testing using the Asset Management System. • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and ISO 9001 quality processes. • Provide technical advice and training to clinical and hospital staff on the operation and safe use of medical equipment. • Support internal and external quality audits and maintain quality management documentation. • Participate in an after-hours emergency maintenance roster as required. • Assist in managing departmental stores and spare parts inventory. • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements and relevant healthcare standards. Essential Requirements • Advanced Certificate in Electronics or equivalent qualification. • Extensive experience repairing and maintaining contemporary electro-medical equipment. • Strong computer literacy, including software installation, network setup, and fault finding. • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills. • Ability to effectively manage and prioritise workload. • Sound understanding of continuous improvement principles and quality management systems. • Experience working with medical equipment asset management systems. • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards and auditing practices.
