About the role The Employee Performance Officer (EPO) is responsible for providing critical advice and support to Departmental senior officers and school leaders to effectively manage employee underperformance. This is a case management role, where the EPO oversees performance matters across the Department, ensuring performance management policies and procedures are adhered to. About you * Self-motivated and confident in providing high level policy and procedural advice * Experience in providing hands on support to senior officers and leaders to address underperformance and where relevant guide the leaders to implement an improvement program. * Well developed management skills are results driven, resilient and confident in managing challenging situations. * Working knowledge of the legislative and policy frameworks with industrial context. * Excellent communicator who is a team player and creates strong stakeholder relationships * Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people. Essential requirements of the role * Current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance for paid employment. * Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
