• Full time ongoing position • ASO6 salary range $102,171 - $108,071 p.a. + super • Flexible base at a TAFE SA Campus within the Adelaide Metro area with occasional travel to other campuses within the TAFE SA network • View: Role Description The Opportunity TAFE SA is seeking a high-impact Employee Relations Business Partner to strengthen organisational capability and support a fair, high-performing, and psychologically safe workplace. This is a hands-on, advisory role operating at the intersection of people risk, leadership capability, and contemporary employee relations practice. Reporting to the Manager, HR Business Partnering, the role partners closely with leaders across the organisation to navigate complex conduct, performance, and non-work-related health matters, while driving early intervention and sustainable outcomes. What We’re Looking For This is a newly created role, and the incumbent will have exposure to a diverse and complex ER portfolio within a large, unionised, and highly regulated public sector environment. We are seeking an experienced practitioner who can apply sound judgement, operates with integrity, and is confident influencing leaders through ambiguity and managing competing priorities. You will be a motivated practitioner passionate about enabling leaders to make informed workforce decisions, strengthening compliance, and uplifting people management capability across TAFE SA. You will bring: • Significant experience managing complex employee relations case portfolios in a unionised or highly regulated environment. • Strong experience in dispute resolution, with an Accredited Mediation certification being highly regarded. • Strong working knowledge of industrial relations frameworks and employment legislation, including the management of performance and non-work-related Health & Wellbeing matters. • Advanced stakeholder engagement and influencing capability across all organisational levels. • Demonstrated experience in building effective relationships with Union partners. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including policy and briefing development. • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering leadership development, training, and coaching initiatives. • A strong commitment to ethical conduct, integrity, and sound judgement. • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and community. • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline will be highly regarded. What You Need to Know A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment.
