Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Position Classification: Health Manager Level 5 Remuneration: $180,279.00 - $201,662.00 pa (+ superannuation + salary packaging options) Location: Negotiable within Western NSW Local Health District, NSW – Find out more Hours Per Week: 40 Applications Close: 05 August 2026 – 11:59pm General Manager - Northern Sectors Rural Sectors - Northern About the role The Northern Sector General Manager (GM) is a key leadership role within the Rural Sectors team, reporting to the Director Rural Health Services, and working alongside the Director Rural Health Medical Services, and MPS Aged Care Manager, and supported by the Rural Sectors executive assistant. The Northern Sector comprises of eight Multi-Purpose Services (MPS’s) - Bourke, Brewarrina, Collarenebri, Lightning Ridge, Nyngan, Trangie, Walgett and Warren. In addition to this, there are several outreach services to communities of Enngonia, Weilmoringle and Goodooga. This is a role that will take you to the outback, with the privilege to positively influence improved outcomes for our Aboriginal communities and the broader community. The GM is responsible for overseeing the effective and efficient planning, delivery and management of health care services to the populations served within its catchment. This requires close collaboration with respective facility managers. We strive for first class rural health services with a focus on quality service delivery spanning from primary health care to inpatient acute and aged care services.
