Coorparoo Secondary College is a vibrant inner-city secondary school in Brisbane with around 400 students.

The English/Humanities program at Coorparoo Secondary College is a key component of our curriculum.
In the Senior School, which consists of approximately 185 students, we offer Essential English, General English, Geography, Literature, Legal and Modern History.

Key capabilities and experience required:
• Proven success in improving student engagement and achievement in English and Humanities
• Demonstrated instructional leadership and the ability to build teacher capability
• Proven ability to lead high-impact pedagogical practices including the science of learning, explicit instruction, effective feedback and collaboration
• Strong quality assurance processes to ensure consistency and excellence across programs
• Experience designing and implementing student-centred assessment practices
• Strong data literacy and the ability to use data to inform teaching and learning
Desirable but not essential teaching areas:
• English Literature
• Senior humanities subjects (Accounting, Economics, Ancient History)
