About this role

As the Investigations Manager you will work autonomously and lead the region in the Statewide Investigations directorate. This role will provide strategic and operational direction, support and expert advice in accordance with procedures, objectives and performance standards adopted by Office of Industrial Relations (OIR), to ensure investigations meet requisite standards of quality, timeliness and efficiency and that investigative conduct is of the highest integrity. This role works closely with the Work Health and Safety Prosecutor, Office of the WHS Prosecutor to ensure legal advice is appropriately sought and given for OIR investigations and that where produced, prosecution briefs meet requisite standards. When required the role will become actively involved in the more complex, protracted and potentially contentious investigations.
