We are looking for passionate Investigator/Conciliators to become a vital part of our Investigation and Conciliation Service team. You will be responsible for undertaking the investigation and conciliation of complaints alleging discrimination and/or breaches of human rights under Federal human rights and discrimination law.

This role involves providing information and services to individuals who may share sensitive or traumatic experiences. It is important that applicants understand the emotional nature of this work and are prepared to engage with respect, empathy and use a trauma informed approach.

This full-time / part time, non ongoing / ongoing positions offer a competitive salary range of per $99,734 - $111,701 annum plus 15.4% superannuation.

What You’ll Do: • Investigate complaints made under federal human rights and discrimination law. • Undertake the conciliation of complaints made under federal human rights and discrimination law. • Prepare written correspondence for the President or their Delegate, including correspondence regarding notification and termination of complaints alleging discrimination and/or breaches of human rights. • By telephone and in writing, provide information to members of the public about federal human rights and discrimination law and the complaint process. • Prepare and present information sessions on the law and the complaint process and participate in community education events, as required. • Participate in the ongoing development of the Investigation and Conciliation Section’s practices and procedures, as required.
