Join a passionate environmental team dedicated to protecting and enhancing local conservation reserves across Melbourne's northern suburbs. This hands-on role will see you delivering bushland management programs, weed control, revegetation projects, habitat restoration, and community engagement activities. About the Role • Maintain and enhance conservation reserves and natural environments. • Undertake weed control using chemical, mechanical and manual methods. • Deliver revegetation and habitat restoration works. • Identify indigenous flora, fauna and invasive species. • Operate and maintain bushland management equipment and tools. • Support volunteers and trainees and assist with community environmental programs. • Contribute to work planning, record keeping and safe work practices. About You • Qualification in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science or related field, and/or relevant industry experience. • Experience in bushland management, conservation or ecological restoration. • Knowledge of local native flora, fauna and weed species. • Understanding of ecological processes and vegetation management. • Current Victorian Driver Licence. • Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain). • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. Desirable • Chainsaw Level 1 certification. • Chemical Users Certificate and/or ACUP accreditation. • Experience supervising volunteers, trainees or community groups.
