In this role, you'll: • Join our Maintenance and Delivery Traffic Facilities North team, where you will lead a team to undertake testing, technical troubleshooting and repair associated with the ITS network including the coordination of various ITS contractors/Technicians for the maintenance or repair of technical systems • You will provide leadership to a group of traffic signal technicians, whilst maintaining a high degree of technical knowledge which you will use to develop and mentor your team • As a hands-on leader, you will be responsible for the repair, testing and preparation of traffic signal equipment and other electrical and electronic technologies, e.g., traffic control signals, variable message signs, vehicle activated signs, CCTV cameras, and traffic monitoring units etc. You will also ensure the technical integrity of all ITS systems installed throughout the state/regions by undertaking testing and maintenance. This is a permanent, full-time position, located at Tweed Heads office, and will require regular travel throughout the North Region. For more information on this position and business unit, view role description and information pack About you To be successful in this role, you will have the following: • Current NSW Fair Trading Electrical Supervisors certificate or equivalent • Current and valid Australian motor vehicle driver license and be willing to travel on occasion • Knowledge of ITS assets and operational systems • Leadership Experience is ideal, whether informal or formal, is ideal • Availability to assist in overtime-callouts (emergency situations) • Experience in undertaking data collection from field equipment. • Experience in calibration or testing of electronic equipment. • Experience in the management of electronic and paper-based records systems. • Demonstrated knowledge of Windows operating systems and use of office applications including Word and Excel. • Proven problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and identify the nature of computer problems • Have advanced communicate skills and experience working collaboratively with people at all levels to motivate and influence and build key relations with a wide range of clients and internal and external stakeholders. • Be solutions-focussed and contribute to a positive workplace culture to inspire your team to deliver customer-centred projects Join us Our workforce is as diverse as the community we serve.
