JOB DETAILS 2 X Permanent Full Time 35 Hours,5 days per week $106,968.14 to $117,209.74 + super JOB DESCRIPTION The Management Accountant will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting and preparation of key deliverables including the Annual Budget, Revenue Pricing Policy, the Long-Term Financial Plan, quarterly budget reviews, job costing, performance monitoring and management reporting systems. Based in management accounting team, this position will: • Provide input and support preparation of Council's annual budgets, including setting of fees and charges • Assist in developing the Long-Term Financial Plan • Collaborate with budget managers to assist and support them to conduct quarterly budget reviews • Undertake monthly analysis of employee costs, contract labour and calculation of salary savings • Review, develop and implement financial systems, processes, financial models and reports. Allocates budget packs, creation of projects and prepares and updates budget and forecast models. ABOUT YOU The successful applicant will have: • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce • Extensive experience in budgeting and financial management in a medium to large organisation • Demonstrated analytical ability to deal with high volume and complex financial information • Demonstrated experience using large financial information systems • Ability to proactively engage and foster business partnering relationship with key internal stakeholders • Effectively communicate and influence decision making at all levels of management • Experience in local government finance, Long-Term Financial Planning, grant funding, and knowledge of the NSW Local Government Act and Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework will be an advantage BENEFITS OF WORKING AT LCC • Be rewarded with an attractive annual salary package (Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant.) • Flexible work arrangements - including flexi time and hybrid working arrangements (with the ability to work some days each week from home • Free parking is available nearby, with subsidised parking also on offer • Access to a Fitness Passport membership • Internal professional Learning and Development Liverpool City Council is committed to providing a working environment that supports all employees to reach their full potential.
