Where you'll be working The Health Care Interpreter Service (HCIS) plays a vital role in supporting safe, equitable and patient-centred care for people with limited English proficiency and those who are Deaf. Based at Cumberland Hospital, this senior leadership opportunity will see you lead a large-scale, essential healthcare service that supports metropolitan Local Health Districts, Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network, specialty hospitals, NGOs and statewide health services.

Working within a collaborative and values-driven environment, you will influence service delivery across multiple healthcare settings while leading strategic initiatives that improve access, quality and sustainability. ·          Lead a critical service that supports diverse communities across NSW ·          Join a collaborative and innovative healthcare leadership team ·          Drive meaningful outcomes that improve patient safety and experience ·          Build strong partnerships with health services, community organisations and stakeholders ·          Be at the forefront of service redesign and digital transformation

What you'll be doing   As the Manager, Health Care Interpreter Services, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality and sustainable interpreter services across a complex healthcare network. You will lead workforce planning, financial management, service improvement and innovation initiatives while ensuring 24/7 access to interpreter services across onsite, telephone and video modalities.

Key responsibilities include: ·          Leading the delivery of responsive, high-quality interpreter services that meet the communication needs of diverse patient populations ·          Managing workforce planning, capability development and performance to build a skilled, agile and future-ready team ·          Driving financial sustainability through effective resource management, service planning and operational oversight ·          Leading service redesign, technology integration and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer experience ·          Building strong stakeholder relationships and utilising data-driven insights to support quality outcomes, compliance and service performance

Selection Criteria:   1.      Relevant health related tertiary qualifications or substantial experience in managing complex programs in a health environment. 2.      Demonstrated experience in leading the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred services at scale 3.      Proven ability to manage financial performance and drive cost-effective service delivery 4.      Extensive experience in workforce planning and management 5.      Strong leadership capability with a track record of building high-performing teams. 6.      Highly developed stakeholder engagement and partnership skills 7.      Demonstrated ability to use data, analytics and reporting to inform decision-making and improve service performance 8.      Commitment to quality assurance, consumer-centred care and equity of access, leading to service improvement, innovation and change initiatives
