About this role

You see the big picture, you’ve always worked on a grand scale, and now you’re ready to re-focus on grand impact. This is your opportunity to broaden your experience and perspectives, step out of the confines of a standard project role and expand your scope to work with an interconnected ecosystem of industry professionals. In this role, you'll: Lead the consolidation, coordination and oversight of the Finance, Technology and Commercial (FTC) division’s project pipeline, ensuring initiatives are prioritised, sequenced and aligned to divisional and Transport for NSW strategic objectives. You will manage end‐to‐end pipeline processes, including prioritisation, readiness assessments and assurance activities, to support evidence‐based portfolio decision‐making. Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the division, you will implement and maintain portfolio management frameworks, tools and governance processes that enable transparent, consistent and defensible investment decisions. You will prepare and present high‐quality reporting and insights on pipeline status, prioritisation outcomes and portfolio performance, supporting divisional planning and budgeting processes, while leading and supporting cross‐functional teams to deliver against agreed priorities. About you You are an experienced portfolio or program management professional with a strong track record working in complex organisational environments. You bring a deep understanding of portfolio governance, prioritisation, planning and reporting, and can translate complex information into clear, actionable insights for senior decision‐makers. You are confident operating with autonomy, managing competing demands and tight timeframes while maintaining transparency and consistency. With strong stakeholder management and leadership capability, you are able to build alignment across diverse teams, influence outcomes and lead small teams or project groups to deliver results. To be successful in this role, you will hold appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrate equivalent relevant professional experience, and be motivated to drive effective portfolio planning and investment outcomes across Transport for NSW.
