What you'll be doing • In this role, you will deliver contemporary, evidence based orthopaedic surgical services that ensure safe, high quality, patient centred care across MLHD, while providing clinical leadership and actively contributing to patient safety, quality improvement, and risk management initiatives. • You will also supervise and support junior medical officers and other clinicians, foster effective multidisciplinary collaboration, use clinical information systems appropriately, participate in governance and departmental activities • In accepting this position, you will uphold core NSW public sector values, including cultural diversity, equity, ethical practice, and contributing to a healthy, safe, and fair workplace. Remuneration and incentives Remuneration depends on your appointment type, award classification, and scope of practice. The figures below are indicative only and represent what may be earned under applicable NSW Health awards and local arrangements. Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) Specialist • Fee-for-Service arrangements follow the Visiting Medical Officer (State) Award and the Public Hospitals VMO Determination . • Payments are based on item numbers, service volumes, and rural loadings rather than a fixed hourly or annual figure.
