.NET Architect - NV1 Clearance Required Location: Melbourne or Canberra Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home Contract: Initial contract until 24 May 2027 with likely extensions Security Clearance: NV1 Clearance is mandatory We are seeking an experienced .NET Architect to design and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade applications using modern .NET technologies and Microsoft Azure. This role is ideal for someone with strong architecture expertise, cloud experience, and a passion for building secure, high-performing solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using .NET/.NET Core. • Architect and implement scalable microservices-based solutions. • Build and integrate RESTful APIs with internal and external systems. • Develop cloud-native solutions using Azure services, including App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Storage, and Service Bus. • Design and optimize SQL and NoSQL database solutions. • Implement secure application architecture, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure API design. • Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments. • Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor developers. • Troubleshoot application performance, reliability, and security issues. • Contribute to solution architecture and technical design decisions. Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years' experience developing with C# and .NET/.NET Core. • Strong experience designing and delivering solutions on Microsoft Azure. • Hands-on experience with microservices architecture. • Proven experience building and integrating RESTful APIs. • Strong understanding of backend application architecture and design principles. • Experience with SQL Server and exposure to NoSQL databases. • Knowledge of application security, including OAuth, JWT, secure API design, data encryption, and secure storage. • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Requirements • Current NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory. • Ability to work from the Melbourne or Canberra office 3 days per week .
