About this role

To all NSW Police Applicants: Welcome to the NSW Police Force on-line application process. Once applicants submit their Police Application (Professional Suitability) several initial background checks will be conducted. Depending on the outcome of those checks, the applicant may then be invited to enrol in the University Certificate in Workforce Essentials (UCWE) and will be provided with a link to the UCWE application page. Applicants who do not enrol in the UCWE will be unable to progress with their Police Application. The UCWE was developed by the NSW Police Force and provides skills needed in a workforce and to help applicants prepare for the Associate Degree in Policing Practice (ADPP) – the NSW Police Force approved training course provided jointly by the NSW Police Force and Charles Sturt University. Students completing the UCWE will be awarded the University Certificate which satisfies the academic prerequisites for entry into the ADPP. Once you have successfully completed the application assessment process AND the UCWE you may then be considered further for entry into the ADPP. Please understand not every applicant is successful in the professional suitability process. In fact, an application may be rejected at ANY time throughout the process. Entry into the ADPP is competitive and placement into an ADPP cohort is not guaranteed. If you are successful in gaining entry into one of the cohorts, there is a reasonable likelihood of employment. Please read the information on the NSW Police Force website with regard to mandatory requirements. It is imperative when you are completing this application that you do so honestly. Failure to declare information will generally result in an application being rejected.
