About this role

Youth Detention Policy and Practice team is responsible for supporting best practice youth detention service delivery in Queensland. Key activities of the team include: • developing operational policy and procedures to guide the practice and operations of youth detention service delivery and other places of secure custody for young people • providing practice support for staff, stakeholders and services working with young people in youth detention centres • leading major practice improvement projects • responding to oversight functions and actioning recommendations, and • administering a range of statutory reporting functions Please refer to role profile for full details.
