About the role: Are you a commercially driven leader with a passion for growth, innovation and building high-performing teams? As Private Works Manager , you will play a pivotal role in expanding Unitywater’s Private Works business across the rapidly growing Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay regions, while being part of an opportunity to deliver lasting impacts that help shape the future of our communities. Leading a skilled team of employees and contractors, you will oversee the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects for external clients, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You will drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, strengthening client relationships, improving commercial performance, and maximising revenue. At the same time, you will champion a strong safety culture, foster a high-performing team, and continuously improve operational efficiency to position Unitywater as the preferred partner for civil infrastructure delivery. To contribute to this, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role: • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline. • Demonstrated experience within the water, wastewater, utilities, civil construction, or infrastructure sectors. • Strong commercial, technical, and people leadership capability within a civil construction environment. • Proven experience leading profit-responsible teams to deliver successful business outcomes. • Extensive experience managing business development and civil works teams, with a track record of achieving growth and performance targets. • Strong commercial acumen, with experience across the full contract lifecycle from opportunity identification and tendering through to project delivery. • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale construction teams and delivering complex infrastructure projects. • Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
