Based in Rockhampton, this role sits within the Customer and Stakeholder Management team and plays a critical role in connecting communities, stakeholders, media and government with TMR's transport and road programs. You will contribute to stakeholder and community engagement activities, prepare high‑quality ministerial and executive correspondence, support media and issues management, and develop clear, accessible communication materials. Working closely with project teams and leadership, you'll help build trust, manage risk and ensure communities are informed at every stage of project delivery.

This is a varied and rewarding role suited to someone who enjoys collaboration, problem‑solving and meaningful work with real community impact. You will be part of a professional, supportive team committed to delivering better transport outcomes for Queensland.

Key duties / responsibilities • Support delivery of stakeholder and community engagement activities for transport programs and projects • Prepare well‑researched ministerial, executive and district correspondence, briefings and reports • Assist with media and issues management, including drafting responses and monitoring coverage • Develop and coordinate communication materials across print, digital and online channels • Build effective relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, contractors and community representatives • Ensure all communication and engagement activities meet governance, branding, record‑management and policy requirements

What we're looking for You're a clear communicator who can adapt messages for different audiences and build strong working relationships. You enjoy working collaboratively, can analyse issues and prepare quality written material, and understand the importance of governance and integrity in a public sector environment. Experience in stakeholder engagement, communications, media, public affairs or government environments is highly regarded but transferable skills are welcome.

Applications will remain current for 12 months.
