Lead Critical Water Infrastructure Projects that make a difference! This is an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead high-value capital works programs, inspire high-performing teams and contribute to projects that have a lasting impact on the community. We're looking for a passionate and results driven professional to join our team and play a key role in delivering critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects. About the role: As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a portfolio of water utility projects from planning through to completion. You'll lead multidisciplinary teams, manage project budgets and schedules, build strong stakeholder relationships and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with organisational objectives. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex engineering challenges while driving innovation, continuous improvement and operational excellence. What You'll be doing: • Leading the delivery of multiple water infrastructure and capital projects • Managing project scope, budgets, schedules, risks and resources across the full project lifecycle • Creating and maintaining a strong safety-first culture across project teams • Developing and implementing project management plans and governance documents • Monitoring project performance and reporting progress, budgets and outcomes • Driving innovation and identifying practical solutions to complex engineering challenges • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders What You'll Bring: • Extensive experience delivering complex infrastructure or engineering projects • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams • Experience in procurement and contract management • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including PMBOK principles • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, risks and stakeholder expectations • Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership and relationship-building skills • Sound knowledge and experience of construction safety management Desirable: • Relevant tertiary qualification in project management or engineering • Experience within water and wastewater industry • Knowledge of statutory approval processes and environmental legislations • Familiarity with ACT and NSW regulatory frameworks • Knowledge of Australian Standards Contracts, the Trades Practices Act and procurement guidelines • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and MS Office Suite To find out more about the role you can view the detailed position description here .
